Oracle paid its chief executive, Larry Ellison, US$7.5 million in bonus and salary for fiscal 2005, almost double the amount he received the prior year, the company disclosed late yesterday. Oracle also awarded its outspoken chief 2.5 million stock options for the fiscal year ended May 31. The Redwood Shores, Calif., database and corporate software giant additionally said it spent $922,845 on home security for Ellison, 61, according to the filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
